Whatever happened to her? She was once so innocent and pure. Then life and people made her core hard. Almost as though she had to protect herself, and her love. She no longer felt she could love and trust freely. But why? Why couldn’t she love without the fear of being hurt or mishandled? Why couldn’t she willingly trust people to do and be who they said they were? One day those questions changed. One day she realized it was her responsibility to surround herself with people who understood love and wouldn’t taint their bond. So she did. She refused to keep company that meant her no good. She refused to share energy with leeches and her life changed. Progress is a slow process but also a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. Dear Young Dawn, I love you and vow to always protect you. Always.
This is the chemical formula for love:
dopamine, seratonin, oxytocin.
It can be easily manufactured in a lab, but overdosing on any of them can cause schizophrenia, extreme paranoia, and insanity.
Let that sink in.

This is Phylicia’s letter to her 21 year old self. Very inspirational. Hope it resonates with you
Romantic involvement distracts you and can blind you to what’s really in front of you. And what really is in front of you? You are. You don’t even know yourself yet. You think you know and you want to assert that you do, now that you’re a certain age, but you don’t. What’s in front of you is a whole world of experiences beyond your imagination. Put yourself, and your growth and development, first. There are long-term repercussions to what you’re doing now. Everything you do, every thought you have, every word you say creates a memory that you will hold in your body. It’s imprinted on you and affects you in subtle ways—ways you are not always aware of. With that in mind, be very conscious and selective.
With high hopes for you,
I think my selfie problem is getting out of hand..
